IT BEGAN WITH A DREAM
In 2019, MalPensando, co-founded by Stephan Dyer and Juan Cajiao, and the Festival Internacional de Stand Up Comedy Costa Rica produced by Josema Pérez, joined forces to create a years-long dream: the first Latin stand up comedy festival in Canada.
This unique partnership combined nearly 20 years of experience in creating international Hispanic
cultural events with MalPensando doing its first show in Toronto in 2014, and expanding nation-wide ever since, as well as the Festival Internacional de Stand Up Comedy Costa Rica, with ten editions under its belt – recently becoming the largest stand up comedy festival in Latin America.
